Lalit Narayan Mithila University is the pride of the Mithilanchal region covering the various colleges of four districts namely Darbhanga, Madhubani, Samastipur, and Begusarai. This region has glorious sports and cultural tradition as it has produced illustrious scholars throughout the world. Be it science or technology, art or literature, history or philosophy, in every field the people of this region have excelled in merit and scholarship. The vision of this University is to perpetuate the glorious cultural tradition in maintaining the erudition of this region. Along this continuum, it is indeed our vision to establish this University as the emblem of values, tradition, culture and erudition so that its product will be perceived as persona of well-demonstrated merit and excellence. The vision of this University is to keep the chaff away from corn, the dross away from desire so that the teaching may be imparted to enlighten in true sense of the term and the students may have the overall development of their personality to prove themselves as an asset to the institution they serve.
